Located in downtown Seattle to the east of the waterfront, the Pike Place Market historic district encompasses 9 acres of farm and craft tables, shops, restaurants and sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. There is pedestrian access to the waterfront via the Pike Street Hillclimb.
Pike Place is a bustling street and pedestrians have the right of way. We recommend parking in the Public Market Parking Garage at 1531 Western Avenue and exploring the Market on foot. There is a skybridge in the garage that provides direct access to the main arcade of the Market.
Directions via Car to the Public Market Parking Garage

Construction Impacts on Western Avenue
Beginning in June 2015, Pike Place Market is expanding with the MarketFront, a mixed-use project located on Western Avenue, to the west of the traditional Market. The Market is open for business and will not be greatly impacted by the MarketFront construction.
Construction impacts are as follows:
The west sidewalk and parking lane, as well as the existing southbound drive lane, will be closed for construction through November 2016. A new southbound traffic lane will be established and maintained for the duration of the project. For more information, please see the Sellen Construction project website for up to date construction news and updates: http://www.sellen.com/marketfront
Affordable Downtown Seattle Garages
DowntownSeattleParking.com is a mobile-optimized website that features garages (including the Public Market Garage) with rates of $3/hour, up to four hours (tax included). The site now includes a search box where you can type a business name or address to easily find garages near you.
Parking for Oversize Vehicles
Our parking garage and parking lots cannot accommodate RVs. There is RV parking available on surface lots directly across from the Seattle Aquarium on the east side of the 1500 block of Alaskan Way. This is within easy walking distance of the Market.
School and Tour Bus Loading/Unloading
Construction for the MarketFront project is underway. The temporary Charter Bus Loading Zone has moved to the west side of Elliott Avenue, adjacent to the Cost Plus building (2103 Western Ave). The location of the charter bus zone is on southbound Elliott Avenue, on the west side of Elliott Avenue, just north of Lenora Street. This parking is for loading and unloading only and not for longer term parking or staging.
